It’s spring! Well not quite. Though we’ve had a couple days of sunshine this past week it’s still really chilly and I am still wrapping up in my camel coat. I’ve been enjoying wearing this camel coat; my Instagram will vouch for that. It has really served me well this winter; it’s just as warm as it is stylish and suitable for any occasion. It was definitely my biggest bargain buy of December 2014, in fact it’s in my top three 2014 bargain buys.
I saw it on ASOS in October last year and had my eye on it for a while but I didn’t want to pay £110. I just knew that I had to have it and just under a week before Christmas I watched it go from £110 to £55! I actually screamed out loud that’s how excited I was. I knew it would go on sale during Christmas that’s why I patiently waited till December, but not for half price! Patience is indeed a virtue, yay me!
I get so many compliments whenever I wear it. I love that it goes well with a lot of things and can be thrown over a basic t-shirt, a pair of jeans and boots for a casual look.
It is also a nice finish to this camel and cream outfit I thought I’d put together for my final winter look. I did the shoot earlier this week with my friend Blessing and it was so cold but you know how the saying goes “No pain no gain.” The garden location she found is beautiful and very peaceful, I have found my new spot for Spring and Summer.
I love that this outfit can be worn in the office, an evening out for some drinks or dinner, a networking event, church and well pretty much everywhere.
The turtle neck is an option for the Autumn/Winter seasons so for a Spring/Summer look I’d opt for a basic white t-shirt, sleeveless camel turtle neck, or a crop top to go with this gorgeous faux leather camel skirt I recently bought from MISSGUIDED. I don’t usually shop there but I have seen some amazing pieces on their website that will be perfect for my SS15 wardrobe.
As we transition from winter to spring I’ll be posting spring inspired looks but I’ll still be wearing monochrome, neutral and dark colours now and again so please don’t expect too much colour but I’ll try spice it up for you ladies. Hope you’re all having a great weekend.
