Back to Blogging

IMG_0758

Hey everyone,

Long-time no post, I hope you’re all well!

You’re probably wondering where I’ve been for over a year…or not (ha).

Truth is I haven’t been my usual self, I was in a bad way for most of last year and some this year to be honest but I’m a lot better (mentally) thank God.

Feels good to be back blogging, I really have missed it. Let’s get the ball rolling again shall we.

I’m working on revamping the blog and creating some different content for you all. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now actually so thought I’d share and give you all a heads up.

It involves being more open and vulnerable (vom lol) something I often struggle to do especially publicly. It’s funny because most people know me as a direct and truthful person (which can sometimes get you into a bit of trouble, apparently not everyone appreciates the truth) but when it comes to baring my soul (not my business) to the world I feel so uncomfortable.

I guess being uncomfortable encourages you to grow and when we grow in different and all aspects of our lives it encourages others to grow too.

I’ve been feeling stagnant for a while because of different things I’ve been through in the past year but I am encouraging myself to pick myself back up again because no one is going to live my life for me now are they?

I am blessed to have amazing friends and family to encourage me too, I know I’ve ignored and pushed people away during dark times and they still show me love, flaws and all.

Moving on, isn’t this outfit the cutest? I thought I would wear this branded t-shirt to make an announcement that I’m back (some statement lol) and should still have the right to call myself a fashion blogger even though I’ve been MIA for 14 months.

Hope you all have a great week, take care and see you soon!

Spring Blues

Hey guys,

Hope you’re all well and having a great weekend.

I know most days it feels like Spring hasn’t sprung but at least we’re getting closer to warmer days and that means wearing less layers.

I thought I would revive some old pieces or in this case piece for this post. I have had this jumpsuit for over five years and even though I have had a love hate relationship with jumpsuits, this one has stood the test of time.

It is still just as stylish and not to forget trendy but it also reminds of something out of an 80’s music video or 90’s television show. It has also stayed in great condition, but I haven’t worn it many times so that has a lot to do with it. Let’s see if it can last another five years, I’d be lucky if I can still fit into a size 8 then.

I got this jumpsuit from Asos, till this day they have a great denim section that offer a variety of key pieces. Denim definitely works for every body type and every season and I won’t be shying away from it this Spring/Summer so don’t you.

If you haven’t already, you can check out my previous double denim outfit posts on here.

As always I’ll list all my outfits details down below, wishing you all a happy new month in advance, see you then!

Seventies Suede

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well and happy that it’s finally Spring!

I’m certainly ready to play around with more colour now it’s warming up a bit more.

I have been loving these faux suede boots  from Primark. They work with a variety of outfits are a perfect for Autumn, Winter and Spring.

I would love to get them in a tan colour should they ever pop up in Primark or any other place for an affordable price. These only cots £20! Total bargain buy, even for faux suede. My whole outfit is from Primark and came to a total of £38 (excluding the clutch) so if you want to look good for less this Spring, Primark is the place to shop.

Tan coloured pieces are popular this Spring and go with the seventies look, that’s also trending this S/S season.

I want a tan colour suede bomber jacket, trench coat or jacket with fringing detail at the back. I’ll let you know which one I go for and will most likely show you in a blog post.

Will your wardrobe have a 70’s flair this Spring?

Happy viewing and hope you all have a great start to the new month.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you are all well and not too strained with all your Christmas shopping and are in good spirits.

I know running around getting stuff sorted can a lot to handle with the crowds in the city this time of year especially if you’re a last minute Christmas shopper.

I actually never get stressed out when it comes to Christmas shopping, I actually enjoy the rush. That may be because I absolutely love shopping, any time and any day (okay most days)

I have to admit I do not like Christmas food shopping or Boxing Day sales shopping. The queues are ridiculous, all the best things go quickly and some people turn into vultures all in the name of sales. Thanks but no thanks, I’d rather shop online but who knows I might decide to go out and brave it in search for a much needed new winter coat.

If I do go I’ll let you guys know, as I do love a bargain, in fact the white ribbed top I’m wearing here went from £18 to £7! I bought it during the summer sale on asos.com.

It is getting colder so get yourself some winter gear if you can during the sales.

I’ll be posting more winter looks in the New Year so keep your eyes peeled for that.

For those of you that celebrate Christmas have a fantastic one and I will see you all in the New Year! 2016 wooo hooo!

Lots of love and God bless xx

Noir et Or

Good Evening everyone,

Hope you’ve had a great start to your week.

I’ve got an evening look for you here. An LBD aka Little Black Dress or what I usually prefer a MBD (Midi Black Dress) is a go to outfit for any and every woman and an essential piece to have in your wardrobe.

For those of you who like to turn up on a Tuesday or any other day during the week, you know what I am talking about.

I got this chic ribbed dress from Primark for only £10! I love a bargain, the colour black and a turtle neck so it was a must have at first sight for me.

This simple but statement mini dress is fine for those who don’t mind getting their legs out but for those who don’t you can turn it into a top which is what I’ll be doing in the cooler months to come.

I often to this with old dresses I still love but find a bit too short or dated.

I like to pair them with a skirt, jeans or trousers that will go nicely with it.

The trick is to do this with a fitted dress that is short enough to be concealed without bulging, making it obvious that it’s a dress instead of a top.

I’ll probably show you guys how to style a dress as a top in future posts, maybe using this dress to give anyone who may want to try it an idea.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone. I know I will as I’m travelling tomorrow. I’ll be headed to the Motherland, enjoying some sunshine and spending time family that I haven’t seen in many years.

Hey guys,

Hope you’re all well and have had a great week so far. If not, get out and soak up the sunshine, enjoy yourselves, today’s weather is fantastic! We’ve actually had a decent summer this year in the UK compared to previous years, can’t complain.

Though I have been enjoying the sun, I am actually looking forward to Autumn.

Maybe it’s because my birthday and London Fashion Week next month that I am getting so excited.

Till Autumn officially arrives I’m going to enjoy the rest of Summer and slowly transition my wardrobe into looks more suitable for the next season, as you can see from my pictures I am already on it.

I am getting comfortable wearing white bottoms, I recently bought a white skirt and have been eyeing a white dress online for a few weeks now. Black will always be my favourite but I think it’s key to have a few white statement pieces in your wardrobe that can be worn in any season.

As always I’ll be sure to list items below! Take care and enjoy!
